1 Big Task is built with privacy as a core principle. We believe your tasks and personal information belong to you and only you.
Simple truth: We have no servers. We have no databases. We have no way to see your data even if we wanted to.
Data Storage
Local Storage: All your tasks, settings, and voice memos are stored locally on your device.
iCloud Sync (Optional): If you enable cloud sync, your data syncs through your personal iCloud account — not our servers. Apple handles the encryption and security. We never have access to this data.
No Account Required: You don't need to create an account or provide any personal information to use 1 Big Task.
What We Don't Collect

iCloud Sync Explained
When you enable iCloud sync (premium feature), here's what happens:
Your tasks sync directly between your devices using your Apple iCloud account
Data is encrypted by Apple using industry-standard security
We use Apple's CloudKit framework — the same secure infrastructure Apple uses for its own apps
We cannot access, read, or decrypt your synced data
If you delete the app or disable sync, you can remove all cloud data through your iCloud settings
Third-Party Services
Apple App Store: Handles purchases and subscriptions. Apple's privacy policy applies to transactions.
